Fall brings with it, the smell
of fireplaces warming the crisp air, the excitement of football
season, and the food feast of Thanksgiving Day. But while your
wondering what to serve, the meaning of this country's first
Thanksgiving gets pushed further from memory.
Did You Know.....
President Franklin Roosevelt officially
declared the fourth Thursday in November as Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving was formally proclaimed a national
holiday by President Abraham Lincoln.
There was about 140 at the first Thanksgiving
celebration, and lasted three days.
The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in
September.
Isn't it interesting...
The main reason we don't eat turkey eggs
is because they are so protective of their eggs, farmers have a
hard time getting their hands on them!
